Aku boring betul dengan kerja aku sekarang ni.
Ada satu sistem ni, harga dia dalam RM sejuta jugak la (but believe me, it's peanuts compared to the whole project). We've made an agreement to pay part by part, or what we call milestone payments.
Ada 7 milestones, and up to now 4 milestones have already been paid.
Untuk lagi 3 milestones ni, kena tunggu project complete baru boleh continue paying (sebab sistem ni perlu projek ni selesai dan commission untuk boleh di-test).
Tapi tunggu punya tunggu, projek tak siap-siap. Sampai dah 2 tahun.
Sampai la recently, contract untuk procurement bagi sistem ni dah expired okay. That's how bad the progress is. In order to extend the contract, the contractor who developed the system submit la cost kat kitorang. Cost ni adalah harga untuk penyambungan system warranty, economic escalation dan a few items lagi. Selepas siri perbincangan yang panjang lebar, dari berapa ratus ribu RM ntah, kitorang dapat nego harga dia cuma la dalam RM 60k je.
Kitorang present la harga RM60k ni kat company punya tender committee. KENA REJECT. Bangang tak? For those who doesn't know, RM60K ni, tersangaaaaaatlah keciknya. Sungguh aku cakap (senang citer, compare je la harga projek RM1B... ni bukan nak brag, thank you).
Yang bengangnya, committee suruh kitorang nego lagi. Nak nego sampai tinggal seringgit ke? Kononnya, to be cost-conscious la ni. At the same time masa tu, we're sponsoring a mega-concert, which I'm sure is many times this RM60K.
I mean, WHAT THE FUCK? What is this committee's expectation ek? Get all the money possible so that we can sponsor a concert? Give to Rosmah to buy handbags? I know concert tu department lain, aku department lain, but in the end people will still view us as one company.
Where the hell is our priority?
So camne lagi aku nak convince committee ni? Or convince contractor? Now aku tersepit. One side (the contractor) merayu kat kitorang untuk accept the RM60k, tapi the other side (the committee), which aku kena mintak blessing, taknak agree.
Aku honestly kesian kat contractor (jangan la ada boss-boss company aku baca entry ni).
Heeeiii!!! Rm60K pun nak banyak cekadak.

Bos aku tak kasi aku naik darat lagi laaa... aku dah tahap duduk kat bilik lepak2 kacau company man tidur makan keropok orang sampai habis kacau RO kacau MatCo kacau orang buat keje pun takmo kasi aku pulang =P
